Using the Menus

Most features and options of the program can be changed from the Menu bar located at the top of the program window. Among the options to be set using the menu are: toggling  Tooltips  on and off,  EDICT Monitor ,  Show History ,  compact database ,  registration , and  restore default settings .

In the above example the EDICT Reader Monitor is selected which will automatically search the EDICT database for similar entries every time a search in KanjiQuick is performed. The red spot alerts you that EDICT Reader Monitor mode is activated and KanjiQuick will search for matches in both the KanjiQuick and the EDICT database. The number of matches in the EDICT database is displayed in a label above the   EDICT  button (not shown).
