The editing feature allows the user to add new entries to the database or edit existing data (meanings, readings or new entries). In order to start the edit feature, click the button in the main KanjiQuick program window.
In the Edit Database module, first type in the top-left Entry input box the kanji or jukugo you want to add. In the same way, when you wish to edit existing data, you must first paste or enter the kanji or jukugo. If a jukugo is displayed in the KanjiQuick Jukugo display box , it will be copied automatically to the Entry input box when you open the Edit Database module.
After you have typed characters in the Entry input box , click the button of the Edit Database module. You may then add meanings and readings (in both rômaji and kana) or edit the information displayed. The maximum number of characters is 250 that you can enter in each input box, meanings , rômaji and kana readings. There are seven pages for different meanings and readings which will be displayed as numbered lines in the KanjiQuick main program Japanese readings and meanings display boxes .
You may cancel editing by clicking the button; delete a user-edited entry by clicking the button; or restore the original data in the database by clicking the button located in the upper-right corner.
